I know, weird title. Trust me, you’ll understand a couple minutes and a song later!
Thanks to my parents, I learned that Pygmy Hippopotamus Day was yesterday, April 8th, and it may be my new favorite holiday (after Christmas, of course).
Growing up, my sister and I would always watch Maralee Dawn and Friends on TBN Saturday mornings. I loved watching that show, even though it was kind of goofy. What does that have to do with Pygmy Hippopotamus Day you may ask? One of my absolute favorite songs from the show, below for your enjoyment (that I still have memorized and even put on my Spotify playlist).
And if you’d like to watch the full episode where the Pygmy Hippopotomus song comes from, that’s below too!
Pygmy hippopotamus…tiptoes on the bottomus…in the rivers of West Africa…pygmy hippopotamus!
