Hi there! How are you doing? I’m so glad that you stopped by! My name is Reagan Schaeffer, and I started this blog with the main purpose of helping Christian college students navigate their way through a secular college.
I’ll start off with a couple of things about me. I am 20 years old, and am currently a soon-to-be graduate student in pursuit of my Ph.D. degree – halfway across the country from my home state. I love studying microbiology and biochemistry (along with American history). I have been a violinist for 13 years now, and am currently teaching myself both mandolin and guitar. I enjoy reading the Chronicles of Narnia (you have no idea how many closets I’ve stepped into…just in case). If there was a national sports association for jumping in puddles, you would find that I was a member! I am also a proud 2nd Amendment supporter and I love shooting anything I can get my hands on – whether it be a recurve, crossbow, shotgun, rifle, or – my personal favorite – a muzzleloader. While I’m not always the one to walk up to a stranger and strike up a conversation (unless they really look like they need a friend), once you get to know me (and I you), I’ve been told I can be pretty chatty. It just takes me a while to warm up to you.
Before we go any further, I am practically bursting with excitement over something I need to tell you! It’s the most wonderful news in the whole wide world! Are you ready for it? Someone loves you and me so much that He even sent His Son to die for us and save us from spending eternity in a place of pain and suffering. While this blog is probably directed more towards college students (mainly because I am one at the moment), I know anyone can benefit in some way by reading it. I created this blog to share with you the good news of Jesus Christ, His wonderful design in the world around us, devotionals and perspectives on God’s Word, some school tips, and a whole lot more!
