I watched the memorial service for Charlie Kirk, spread over a few days. I started on Sunday listening to Charlie’s pastor open it up. I was amazed that he willingly spread the Gospel in a clear way. I knew it would be emotional, so I logged out for a bit until later in the day, where I caught the end of RFK Jr. and essentially finished it out. I was amazed by Erika Kirk’s speech – she had such a good message and was so courageous.
I listened to the other speeches over the next few days, and while I listened, I was just in awe of how, yes, Charlie’s life was honored…but God was honored above all. Nearly every person spoke of God, and a good handful have the Gospel in their speech. They recognized that becoming one of God’s children was far more important – with millions watching, as a Christian, you have a duty to spread the Good News.
If you’d like an analysis over the different times the Gospel was given, I just finished watching this video this morning by Todd Friel.
