Today is the 20th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks that took place in America on September 11, 2001.
Don’t get me wrong – 9/11 was a horrible day. However, the attacks are a good reminder of how fragile life is. Everyone started out September 11, 2001 like any other day – headed to work, school, business trips. Phone calls from the World Trade Center record people stating that they weren’t ready to die. The Bible says that “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” (James 4:14). The Bible also states that “…it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). If today is your day to die, are you ready to face a righteous God? The only way you can be at peace with death is if you know your end is spending eternity with God. If you’d like to read more about this, click here to read my post on Good News.
Never forget what happened 20 years ago on September 11, 2001. The video below explains what actually happened…something that many people my age do not know. Share with someone the truth about 9/11 and why it is so crucial to our history. I have linked a video below.
Disclaimer: The video does contain actual footage of the plane crashing into the building, as well as phone calls from the people trapped inside. Though you may not want to watch it, I highly suggest that you do. The only way to learn history is to observe first hand through accounts of people who witnessed the event. There are those who would change the story of what happened that day. But removing history does not change what happened in the past…it just dooms us to repeat it.
