100th Post Celebration

Today marks the 100th post on Back To Stable Hill! In celebration of that, I’d like to share some all time favorite posts, in case it’s been a while and you’d like to check them out! Thanks for coming along with me on my journey.

My Favorite:

Comparing Apples to Oranges, my fourth installment in my Evolution series. Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 were pretty good, too, if you’d like to catch up on those! The reason I liked Part 4 better is because I look at the parts of the scientific names quite often in my job. For a bacterium, you can be told a lot about what it looks like and what it does simply by its scientific name, which I find to be fascinating.

My Favorite Patriotic Post:

The Other Note is my favorite patriotic post. This one will always hold a special place for me. I competed with a speech somewhat along these lines when I was in 4-H at a public speaking district competition. They were so impressed that I was offered the opportunity to speak in the state competition, but I was attending the American Legion Auxiliary’s Girls State that week and wasn’t able to attend. Everyone was shocked by the topic, and one of the judges even came up to me later with tears in her eyes. I’ve always had a spot in my heart for veterans – I surrounded my largest and final service project with the American Heritage Girls around veteran suicide. Not a topic most 16 year old girls go for. But I wanted to bring awareness to it, and for that reason, this post will always be my favorite patriotic article.

My Favorite Post That I Re-Posted:

The Kids Vote! From Robin’s Rants and Raves was an amazingly well written post about the future of America from the viewpoint of someone who was too young to vote. I know we are past elections now, but it’s always good to remember that voting doesn’t just affect you – it affects those who are too young and unable to vote, and the future generations. I was so impressed by this article, I just had to share, and it will always be one of my favorites.

My Most Re-Blogged Article:

The article that has been the most reblogged is Always Winter, Never Christmas. While I didn’t write the entirety of this (although I did write a slight spin-off based on a comment), this article had a really good message and I’m glad it was shared so much!

The Most Read of All Time:

Aside from Good News or About Me, my most viewed post of all time is 5 Ways to Spread the Gospel, very closely followed by The ‘Christmas Star’ Appears December 21 and one of my very first articles: Getting Cut Hurts.

The Most Viewed Educational Posts:

How to Survive College as a Christian is my most viewed educational post, just one view ahead of 9 Ways to Get Your Textbook For Free (Or Really Cheap!).

Tied For Least Viewed:

Interestingly enough, Celebrate the Freedoms We Have (Independence Day 2020) and 8 Things About Your Average College Student That Annoy Me are tied for the post with the least amount of views.

The Post With the Most Comments:

Is actually a tie! Two of my posts have 24 comments each, with them being the most commented on. It’s High Time We Wake Up and The Greatest Christmas Gift.

And…

My Husband’s Favorite Post:

Is of course the one detailing when we got married – When It’s Time to Give Up and Let God (Part 7) 🙂
